Praeses began in 1987 as an independent sales organization aggregating telecommunications services on behalf of major telecom carriers. To effectively support this business model, Praeses was required to track millions of data points created from hundreds of thousands of telephone calls. Over time, Praeses’ management of the telecom data became more valuable to telecom users than its sales services to the carriers.
As Praeses grew, it built the strength and depth of its information technology capacity to support internal requirements while validating the accuracy of the data managed for its clients. The development and growth of this technology team afforded Praeses the opportunity to offer consultative technology solutions beyond telecommunications. Initial clients were local and regional in nature, but by the turn of the century, Praeses had consistent success delivering services across North America.
By 2000, the Praeses technology team not only delivered valuable services but also began to build information technology products that deliver breakthrough value. Praeses’ approach to solving industry-wide problems while focusing on clients’ needs has been well received. Praeses now creates, licenses, installs and supports multiple information technology products delivered globally.
